Body Sculpt This low-impact cardio workout is for the exerciser looking for a total body workout that's tough on the heart, but easy on the joints. The instructor alternates cardio intervals with strength and conditioning moves using compound strength exercises with light hand weights, medicine balls and stability balls. You can work at your own pace and in every case, you'll achieve a total body workout.
Pilates Mat Work Our Pilates Mat Work class will introduce the participant to Pilate’s exercises. Pilates movements are designed to simultaneously enhance strength and flexibility, are fluid, constant and connected.
We use the latest equipment including new mats, medicine balls, hand weights and stability balls, all designed to give you a great workout. Classes are offered at convenient days and times.
ZUMBA
Come and "Join the Party" at NorthShore. Our Instructors will tailor the pace of the class based on the participants. Additionally, for the more experience ZUMBA participant, show you how to maximize the benefits of performing the latin inspired dance moves.
ROWDIOTM Experience the benefits of indoor rowing on our brand new Concept 2 Ergometers. ROWDIOTM is a low impact, high calorie burning workout that improves your cardiovascular fitness as you work your upper and lower body.
These classes include intervals of cardiovasular rowing with stretching and core strength moves using a stability ball and may run longer than the 60 minutes.
B.Y.O.Bike Cyclist 's Challenge Challenging cyclists of all levels, this routine will maximize handling skills while improving endurance and anaerobic threshold. This class is conducted on parabolic rollers along with a headwind fan for progressive resistance, Allowing for "on the fly" rider controlled wattage settings, the athletic demand can be tailored to your current capability. The headwind fans are capable of minimal (below 50 watts) to maximum (+520 watts) athletic demand.
See noticeable improvements QUICKLY and SAFELY in our unique individual rider stalls. Dynamic Core Stabilization sets you free from the limits imposed by stationary training devices; this class will compliment any current program year-round. BONUS: This class is followed by a complimentary half-hour core workout and recovery session; together these 2 classes will fast-forward you toward your cycling goals.
